Native Horizon mixes flamenco, folk, African and Arabic influences into a melting pot of uplifting beats, breaks and delightfully catchy melodies. The four-piece live band is based around the beats, electronic trickery and live guitar of Herbert Newbert, tied together with the heart-thumping percussion section of Jon Bongly and Sean P, and topped off rather nicely with the enchanting and powerful vocal talents of Noa B. |

I remember when I met Noa her asking me why she was the only person in Native Horizon who hadn't played with Orchid-Star! Gareth (aka Herbert Newbert) and I became good friends after finding out how much we liked (and DJed) each others music. Orchid-Star and Native Horizon then asked each others drummers, Jon and Sean, to join them as well and when Pierre broke his wrist Gareth stepped in to guest for us for a couple of gigs on guitar.
